Paranatural Support Service Team Audition Information
Thank you so much for visiting this site and for enjoying the media I create! If you're here, I'm hoping that you're considering auditioning for a role for Paranatural Support Service Team, my ongoing horror audio drama. Here's some information you should know before you start:
- All roles are paid roles. Major roles pay $25 an episode (callers, recurring characters). Minor characters (recurring characters with smaller parts, extras) pay $10 an episode. Payment will be made via digital means (venmo, paypal, etc.) upon completion of the recording per episode, unless some other method is specified.
- PSST is a horror audio drama; therefore, some roles may include interacting with disturbing content. Content warnings will be provided for each role, but as the script is still being written, they may need to be updated. No role will contain sexual violence, discrimination, or bigotry of any kind.
- I, Jolene, will reserve the right to recast or remove anyone's audition or role for any reason.
- Only voice roles will be considered at this time. If you'd like to contribute other kinds of works to PSST in an official capacity (sound, music, graphics, etc.) please contact Jolene seperately from your auditions.
- PSST is almost entirely written, created, and managed by a single person. Please be considerate of this when contacting Jolene regarding your role. As there is no set schedule for episodes yet, I can't guarantee when you'll be called upon to record lines.
- You should be able to use the Chrome web browser to be capable of accessing Zencastr for audio. It's the only browser that works with this tool. Knowledge of audacity is helpful as well.
- Some characters may die or be unable to return for future episodes. When you get the role, I'll let you know what the plan for your character's future is, and if their voice may be used again in the future.
- You may audition for as many roles as you'd like!
- No character has a pre-written gender identity, and many don't have names yet either. Feel free to try any role that resonates with you, and if you get a part, we can work on giving them a name that works for you.
With all that out of the way, let's talk about how to actually audition. Send an e-mail with the subject line "PSST Audition from [Your Name]" to psstpod@gmail.com and include the following:
- Your preferred name
- Pronouns
- Contact Information
- List of roles to be considered for
- Any content or topics that you'd like to avoid
- Audio files or links to audio files with your auditions. You can find roles here!
- Any other material that you think may help (a demo reel, examples of your voice work, etc.)
Thank you so much! I'm so excited to hear your takes. Even if you don't get a role, I'll hold on to your audition and may consider you for a later role.
